Cognitive Therapies

Cognitive impairment in adults may occur as a result of a right hemisphere stroke, traumatic brain injury, and neurological diseases or as a part of the normal aging process. Impairment with cognitive skills can involve changes with memory, attention, problem solving, judgment, organization and language. Research has proven that cognitive rehabilitation can be effective in improving overall cognitive functioning when conducted in a clinically supervised setting. Swallowing Therapy

Swallowing difficulty, or dysphagia, presents itself in a variety of ways and occurs for a number of reasons. Swallowing disorders are usually related to neurologic disorders or dysfunctions. Speech and Language Therapy

Speech-language pathologists work with people who have communication or swallowing disorders. These disorders limit a person's ability to communicate with others. All speech-language pathologists at SFS Therapies have a Master's degree, a state license, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Voice Therapy
