Have you heard of Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT)? LSVT is a proven effective treatment program that provides patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) the means to restore their oral communication beyond what surgical and other solutions have to offer. LVST was largely imagined due to the recognition that the reduced ability to communicate is one of the toughest aspects of PD. Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health has a variety of support groups to suit your needs. There is a Parkinson’s disease group happening the 2nd Tuesdays of each month from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. They also offer a memory loss support group taking place weekly on Wednesdays from 1:15 pm to 2:45 pm.
